Popular underground rap Instagram page, Vlah Music, has finally released their long-awaited album “Vlah World” a few weeks ago. With most of these co-releases, we see nowadays it is very hard to come across one that will be able to stay afloat after a few months and I absolutely think Vlah World has that. With 27 features on the project from 26 different artists, Vlah had a lot on his plate in terms of making sure all these features were up to par which is not an easy task to do at all. If you take a look at DJ Khaled’s last project ‘KHALED KHALED’ which had just about every billboard artist from the last year, he only got a handful of decent songs. Again, showcasing how difficult it is to make a good collab album and Vlah did just that. Another aspect of this project that I find interesting is the amount of well-established artists he got on the project with the budget he was working with. Perry Maysun, Deric, FarrellB, and Surge are just the tip of the iceberg, but crazy to think Vlah was able to bring them all together under one roof.
The 20-track album is a listen I would highly recommend. While there are too many to name my three favorites would have to be ‘Mob Ties’ with Surge & RAQ, ‘No More’ with Clay & Henny Hermes, and ‘Get You a Bag’ with Jssr & ATGskeamin. Not to discredit the rest of the project because the whole album is packed with gems. With the underground becoming more and more mainstream and we’re seeing these top artists get younger and younger, I definitely see Vlah at the forefront of that wave. They are transcending the way music is distributed and discovered, while giving all of the power to the artists. If you aren’t familiar with Vlah’s movement, I suggest you do so because they are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. You can stream “Vlah World” below.
