Toronto singer/rapper, Tory Lanez, is back with his 3rd visual off of his new project as he releases a new video for his song ‘Jokes On Me.’ The video is a follow up from the past 2 visuals he dropped last month, ‘Most High’ and ‘In The Air’. Tory took to Instagram to announce he’ll also be coming out with another video featuring long-time collaborator, Rich The Kid as well as the rapper mentee, VVS Ken.
‘Jokes On Me’ is a slow, emotionally-centered track about the artists’ feelings of humiliation and distress after finding out he had been cheated on. Constant references to alcohol and marihuana strongly imply the songs is paint the picture of Tory venting while intoxicated.
The Sam Brave directed music video opens up with two females discussing how much they value each other and Tory’s friendship. It then quickly cuts to Tory Lanez lying on the floor as he is stabbed in the back with the female lead, portrayed by Taja Picket, in the background. The rest of the video showcases the woman disposing of the rapper’s body. As the video unfolds the ‘Memories Don’t Die’ songwriter continues to rap about his experience with a past relationship, that some think could be in relation to his alleged relation with Megan Thee Stallion.
